What makes a good story?
What to write and how to write

What makes a good story?
Many things make a good story. Many people will say many different things. The hook, the content, the novelty, the facts... There are just so many things that make a good story. It depends on the audience. A deeply factual story about a historical event might bore a toddler to sleep. If sleep was the intention, well done, sleep achieved. However, what kind of bonding has been created with the toddler? Has that created the bonding experience that a parent was wishing to have with a child? Maybe a fairy tale full of fantasy and fiction would have been more suitable; even if the toddler does not fall asleep right away, it has created a bond. So what makes a good story? The connection and the ability for the person receiving the story to see the story play out for them. That is what is most important to me.
